An integral part of our accreditation with Safeagent is ensuring that Zed Lettings are part of a Government required and approved Client Money Protection (CMP) scheme, ensuring your rents and deposits are safe and secure.
Membership of a CMP ensures that landlords and tenants will be compensated should any agent not be able to repay their money - for example should an agent go into administration.
Membership of a Government approved CMP is enforced and monitored by Local Authorities.

Zed Lettings is a member of the Property Redress Scheme - the PRS.
The Property Redress Scheme is approved by Government under the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015 and is authorised by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agent Team (NTSEALT) to provide redress for estate, lettings and property management agents.
Membership of the PRS offers redress to consumers under the Consumers, Estate Agents and Redress Act 2007 Part 3, and ensures that an open and transparent complaint and dispute resolution service is offered to our clients (both landlords and tenants) to enable an enhanced professional process to further strengthen our in-house complaints process. All deposits taken by Zed Lettings for managed tenancies are lodged as legally required with the Government authorised deposit scheme - Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS)
This Government-backed scheme ensures that tenants will have their deposit amounts returned if they:
Zed Lettings is a member of the DPS "Custodial Scheme" - this means that we do not hold client deposit money in our accounts, it is lodged and held with the DPS themselves. Any dispute at the end of tenancy will remain protected in the scheme until any issues are resolved and the DPS (subject to tenant/landlord agreement) will adjudicate and investigate any disputes, make their decision and return the bonds as appropriate.
